Best Places To Work From in Bangkok, Thailand

Bangkok is a popular digital nomad destination these days - there’s just so much to do, see, eat and experience!

Also for working, there is a myriad of options available. I’ve definitely not discovered them all yet, so this blog post only lists the one I’ve discovered until now.

Here’s my list of 6 best places to work from in Bangkok, Thailand:

Paper Plane Project Coworking

Paper plane project coworking in Bangkok

This co-working cafe is located on the 40th floor of a very cool skyscraper in Thonglor, Bangkok and has incredible views on the Bangkok skyline. They have a big space with long tables and plenty of comfy chairs. The space itself is free to work from - to get the wifi password you do need to order some food or drinks, but then you have wifi for the whole day basically. You’re also not allowed to bring any outside food or drinks, which does make sense to me.

The coffee is actually pretty good, as they serve specialty coffee. The only thing may be that it’s slightly more expensive than elsewhere, but I guess that’s the premium to pay to work from here. There’s also a outside space (mostly for smokers) but it has a really cool view on the city. This is definitely one of my favourite places to work in Bangkok!

Sarnies Cafe Sukhumvit

Sarnies is one of my favourite cafes in Bangkok as they have delicious food and specialty coffee. Each cafe in Bangkok has kind of a different ‘theme’ and the one in Sukhumvit is a bit more Japanese themed, as they have matcha drinks and Japanese style breakfast items. I like this particular one as they have a second floor which is great for working. The internet is fast, the coffee amazing and the ambiance is minimalist and cozy.

Another Sarnies cafe called Sarnies Roastery in Lumphini is also really nice, but there’s less space to work and it can get quite busy.

  • Opening Hours: Open daily from 7AM to 10:30PM

The 6th Floor at the Central Embassy Mall

Central Embassy Mall Bangkok top floor

On the 6th floor of this luxury mall in Bangkok lies an open concept bookstore filled with restaurants and cafes. There are lots of tables to work from, which you can use provided you get something to eat or drink from one of the cafes or restaurants located in the space.

It’s a really cool space and the library makes it super cozy and you can literally get anything from the different restaurants located on this floor (e.g. burgers, pizza, healthy food bowls, pastries, coffee etc). There are often loads of local students studying here as well.

The wifi is stable although not super fast (unless you have AIS as a phone provider, which means you can connect to their network).

BARTELS Sukhumvit

We’ve actually discovered this cafe in Phuket and was delighted to see that they also have a location in Bangkok. They are famous for their sourdough bread and have a lot of sandwiches on the menu. Also the coffee game is pretty good.

There’s a seating area upstairs too, where you can get some work done. It’s probably not great to work from there the whole day but for a couple of hours it’s perfect.

Toby's at Noble Play - Noble Ploenchit

Toby's at Noble Play in Bangkok

This brunch cafe is located at the Phloen Chit metro stop. Other than serving delicious Australian brunch dishes and specialty coffee, this place is also a lovely spot to work from for a few hours. I wouldn’t hog a spot for the entire day but for a productive morning or afternoon session it’s a nice cafe to work from.

  • Opening Hours: Open daily from 8AM to 5PM

Kaizen Coffee Ekamai

This cafe is located in Ekamai and serves specialty coffee and brunch dishes. I haven’t personally been here yet unfortunately but I have it on my list on possible places to work from in Bangkok.

In the reviews it says that in the upstairs area there is a big table that’s great to work from for a bit and that the wifi is fast and that there are plenty of charging outlets. So it definitely seems like a great place to work from!

  • Opening Hours: Open daily from 7:30AM to 4:30PM (except closed on Tuesdays)
