Best Co-Working Spaces in Asia in 2024

Asia, and especially South East Asia, is a Digital Nomad Hotspot, and it’s where many of us flock to for several months a year or longer.

I’ve compiled a list of the best co-working spaces in Asia, based on my own experiences but also of a few other digital nomads.

Find a coworking space by checking out this list of best co-working spaces in Asia (in no particular order):

Quick links:

Kohub, Koh Lanta in Thailand

Kohub sign with a Kitty

Kohub is a cool co-working and co-living space on the tropical island of Koh Lanta in Thailand. I’ve been here many years ago and I still have friendships with some of the people I met at this co-working space! Not only is this co-working located in a lush setting, they also organise fun social events where you can get to know the other ‘Kohubbers’.

They also have a co-living space, which are beach bungalows that you can rent per month. The Co-living package also includes 2 meals a day and it’s located close to the beach and to shops and retaurants.

Note that it is, however, closed in low season, from May to October, but open the rest of the year.

  • Price per month: 6,500 TBH (around 166 euros) - only co-working

  • What’s included? 24/7 access to the coworking space, Skype booths, Access to member events, monitor rent, ergonomic chairs, Printer, Locker, free coffee/tea/water

  • Co-living & co-working package: 45,500 TBH per month (includes also 2 meals a day, among other things)

  • Location: View on Google Maps

Hub Hoi An, Hoi An, Vietnam

Recently, Hub Hoian has built a new co-working office, that is overlooking the stunning rice fields.

What is amazing about this co-working space is the community building and social events they organise, such as dinners, lunches and other activities. I met a lot of cool people during my time in Hoi An via Hub Hoi An.

I went during low season and it wasn’t very crowded, but in high season deman can be high for this co-working space so it may be already fully booked. Make sure that you book in advance if you plan to go during high season.

They also have a co-living space that is located close to the coworking space.

  • Price per month: 4 mil VND (around 149 euros)

  • What’s included? 24/7 access to the coworking space, Access to member events, Office chairs, Unlimited printing, free coffee & tea

  • Co-living & co-working: Standard room for one person is $749 (for one month)

  • Location: View on Google Maps

Plan B, Weligama in Sri Lanka

My friend Molly recommended me this co-working space in Weligama, Sri Lanka that is also one of the few places with decent specialty coffee. This one is less well-known than the big co-working space Outpost in Sri Lanka, but according to my friend, is offers better value for money.

  • Price per month: (20 day pass) 35000 LKR (around 102 euros)

  • What’s included? 300 mbps high-speed internet, AC rooms, Free drinking water, Professional address for mail handling, Access to beach

  • Co-living options: They only have dorm beds - one month in a dorm costs around 364 euros

  • Location: View on Google Maps

Outpost Co-working Ubud, in Bali

Outpost coworking in Ubud

Outpost Coworking has 3 locations in Bali: two in Ubud and one in Canggu. I went to the one in Ubud that is close to the Monkey Forest (see picture above).

This is definitely one of the more comfortable co-working spaces I’ve worked at, as they got ergonomic seating, AC rooms, private booths and even a cafe where you can order drinks and food that they can even bring to your table! It’s also possible to rent monitors or book a private desk.

The events they organised where also fun, as you get to meet many people in a relaxed setting like a lunch, dinner or other get together. They also organise weekend trip to other destinations in Bali or outside that you can join for a fee.

The only downside I thought was that it can get a bit crowded in the afternoon and sometimes it’s even hard to find a seat. I also went in low season (January), so I often wondered how crowded it would be in high season 🤔.

  • Price per month: US$195 (Monthly unlimited pass)

  • What’s included?: Unlimited access, 20 hours private booth, social events, access to swimming pool, private locker, mailing address, access to other Outpost locations in Bali

Beachub, Koh Phangan in Thailand

Although I’ve never been to this coworking space, I’ve always wanted to go there, because it looks amazing! A lot of people told me also that they really loved this spot and it’s one of the best coworking spaces you can find in Asia.

This coworking space sits right at the beach and you have a view on the beautiful ocean. They don’t seem to have a co-living option though, as far as I can tell from the website.

  • Price per month: 6500 TBH (around 165 euros)

  • What’s included? Fiber optic wifi, beachfront shared desk, access to the cafe, beach access & shower

Paper Plane Project Co-working, Bangkok in Thailand

Paper planes coworking in Bangkok

Paper Plane Project is more of a coworking cafe set in the middle of Sukhumvit in Bangkok. This place is located in the swanky building on the XX floor - you need to go to the separate elevator to access it. Once you get there, you have an amazing view over Bangkok and the skyline 😍.

You need to order some drinks or food to get the wifi code, but then you can basically stay for the whole day! The coffee is quite good actually, albeit a bit on the pricey side, but considering that you don’t have to pay anything else to work here I think it’s more than fair.

  • Price per month: N/A - order some drinks and/or food to get access to the temporary wifi code

  • Opening times:

  • What’s included? High speed wifi, and co-working space

  • Co-living & co-working: N/A

  • Location: View on Google Maps

Coco Space, Siargao in The Philippines

a road surrounded by palm trees in Siargao

This new co-working space will open up in April 2024 and from the pictures it looks really amazing! It’s definitely very high on my bucket list to go to this place.

Coco Space will have loads of working space for digital nomads, including private phone booths, a cafe, a swimming pool and an outdoor workspace.

Siargao is on the rise to becoming the next top destination for digital nomads, so you’ll be sure to meet many likeminded people here. Especially if you like surfing, it’s the place to be.

  • Price per month: 4,800 PHP (around 78 euros) - this is the opening price

  • What’s included? Welcome drink & gift, Access co-working space (7AM - 12AM), Focus room 15 hrs, Call booth 25 hrs, access to member events, unlimited coffee

  • Co-living & co-working: N/A - A coliving space is being built, but not yet open

  • Location: View on Google Maps
