Best Cafes To Work From In Hoi An, Vietnam

The charming town of Hoi An in Vietnam is a great place for Digital Nomads and travellers alike. Because of the big coffee culture in Vietnam, there is also an abundance of coffee places and cafes, some of which are also great to work from.

In my month staying in Vietnam this year, I worked at a bunch a cool cafes, so I’m happy to share my list with you! Here we go:)

nourish eatery

Nourish cafe in Hoi An, Vietnam

Nourish eatery is one of my favourite cafes to work from in Hoi An. They have a lot of space and they actually have a long table upstairs especially for people with laptops.

It can get quite packed as it is a pretty popular spot, so I’d recommend coming a bit earlier to secure a good working spot. Other than working space, they also have great coffee and healthy food - I loved their salad bowls where you could pick and choose what you wanted in your salad. Other than coffee, they also have really nice teas and smoothies. The staff is super friendly and the wifi is good.

The Inner Hoian by Ala

The Inner Hoian by Ala is actually our favourite cafe in Hoi An because of the cozy setting and the amazing specialty coffee they serve (Best specialty coffee in Hoi An in my opinion!). When we were there in January 2023 they didn’t have any food, but I’ve seen that they have added some food as well, which makes it an even better spot for working! Bear in mind that they only have a few tables inside, as half of the tables are situated in open air.

Good Eats Hoi An

Good Eats was another favourite cafe to work from in Hoi An. Similar to Nourish, it can get pretty packed, so go early to snag a seat. They serve breakfast, lunch and coffee, as well as some really delicious cakes and other sweets. Because the vibe is more of a brunch place I would say it wasn’t the perfect place for work, however, I did often see a lot of other people with their laptops.

The Hill Station Deli & Boutique

The hill station cafe in Hoi An

The Hill Station is another cool cafe with some great spots to work from, especially upstairs. They also serve food (Western and Asian options). The cafe has a cool, ancient Chinese Shop House vibe, which make for a unique ambience.

Sound of Silence Coffee Shop

Sound of silence coffee shop An Bang

If you like working near the beach then this coffee shop at An Bang beach might be something for you. Sound of Silence is a cool place where you can work and also chill, with direct access to the beach. They have pretty good coffee and also some food options available. They don’t have any closed indoor space, so you will have the ocean breeze as a natural airconditioning.

25s Cafe & Brunch

25s Cafe in Hoi An

This cute cafe is located right in the old town of Hoi An, so it’s super central. They have good coffee and food options. I didn’t know this but from the reviews I read that they also have an upstairs room which is airconditioned and might be a bit more quiet for working, so do check that out!
