2. Kindle / E-book for avid readers

a kindle

A Kindle is the best way to travel with a whole library. It’s so small and lightweight and easy to carry around, which is so much better than a book when travelling around! If the person you’re buying a gift for doesn’t have one yet, this is a super thoughtful gift. Of course, make sure that they like to read first!

Price: $/€169.99

Where to buy: Here on Amazon

3. Tropicfeel backpack

The Tropicfeel backpack is a great gift idea for digital nomads due to its versatile design and functionality tailored specifically to travelers. This innovative backpack is engineered to be the ultimate travel companion, featuring a thoughtfully crafted design that blends style, durability, and functionality seamlessly. What sets the Tropicfeel backpack apart is its clever modular system that allows for customisation based on various travel needs. With compartments for laptops, chargers, clothes, and other essentials, it ensures efficient organisation on the go. Its water-resistant material and comfortable ergonomic design make it ideal for long travels.

Price: Depends on the type of backpack, price ranges from $/€149 - $/€259

4. A Bellroy Sling bag

To be honest, it could be any sling bag, but I love my Bellroy one so much that I’m going to recommend that one (see picture above)! It is water resistant and super light-weight, and has been my constant companion for a while. I’m sure getting this as a gift for a digital nomad friend will make them super happy!

Price: $89 / €99

Where to buy: Here on Amazon

5. Portable Tea Set for tea lovers

I recently got bombarded by Instagram ads from a company called Teatsy that makes portable tea sets. It caught my eye because it actually looks quite beautifully designed and also very portable. It’s a lovely gift for a tea enthusiast, so if you know a digital nomad like that, this could be the perfect gift.

Price: Different tea sets available, from €25 - €90

Where to buy: Check out the Teatsy store

6. Travel Mug

A travel mug stands out as another gift idea for digital nomads owing to its practicality on the move, providing convenience for enjoying hot or cold drinks. Its reusable nature not only reduces single-use plastic waste but also aligns with the eco-conscious mindset embraced by nomads. Especially for people who love coffee and/or tea, this could be a handy item to have.

Price: Prices range from $/€15 - 60

Where to buy: Check out the Travel Mugs on Amazon

7. Loop Earplugs

Even though this might be a very small gift, it would undoubtedly be a thoughtful one. The Loop Earplugs are known for their comfort, design and ability to reduce the noise level by 18dB. They come in a handy case as well as different “sizes” so you can actually choose which one fits best and then store them in the case while on-the-go. I also have a pair and I never travel without them.

Price: Prices range from $/€20 - 45

Where to buy: Here on Amazon

8. Foldable Charging Station

This gift idea might be a bit on the more practical side and less on the ‘fun’ side, but it would undoubtedly be of great use for a digital nomad. A foldable charging station such as this one for instance is perfect because you can fold it when traveling and when using it you can open it op and charge multiple devices.

Price: prices range from $/€30 - 60

Where to buy: Here on Amazon

9. Light Down Jacket for people travelling to cooler regions

light down jacket

A light down jacket offers the perfect balance between warmth, comfort, and portability. It has great insulation and a featherweight design, so this jacket from brands like Uniqlo and others is a travel essential. What makes it particularly good to digital nomads is that it is so light and super easy to fold into a tiny pouch.

Price: around $/€50 - 90

Where to buy: For example at Uniqlo

10. Gift a Remote Year (if you've got the budget)

friends traveling

This is for people who have a big budget for the giftee: If you want to give something a bit more special and different, then gifting a Remote Year could be a cool idea. Remote Year is a company that organises group trips for digital nomads all around the world. It’s sort of a travel agency that offers travel packages specifically for digital nomads. They arrange everything from accommodation, co-working spaces, to social events. Remote year offers 1, 4 and 12 months trips.

Check out all the upcoming trips offered by Remote Year here.

Price: For a 1-month trip it starts at around $2000 (flights not included)

11. GetYourGuide Giftcard

If you’d rather gift an ‘experience’ than an item, then getting a gift card for a tour or any other sort of travel activity in any destination can be a great option. GetYourGuide allows you to purchase gift cards, and since they have activities all around the world, this is great for digital nomads, who may not know where they are off to next, so having the choice of what activity to do and where is a huge benefit.

Price: Giftcards available from €50 - €250

Where to buy: Get a GetYourGuide giftcard here

12. Subscription to a Co-working Space

If you know where the digital nomad is headed, you can try to find a co-working space at the destination and gift them a subscription to this co-working space. You can find co-working spaces in a specific location via Coworker.com, for example.

Price: Depends on the co-working space, but prices per month range from $/€100 - 250
